Next Volunteer Opportunity: Wednesday, Feb 8th 8:30am-Newsletter Prep

Per our Charter, 12 Volunteer/Participation hours are required per family per school year.

It is your responsibility to keep track of the hours on your volunteer card located in the volunteer rm. #43. Please stop by between the hours of 8am and 3pm Monday – Friday to record them.  

When you attend an event at our school such as back-to-school night, conferences, etc., you can sign in on the class sign-in sheet. We will retrieve these lists from the teachers and will record those hours for you. You will be responsible for recording all other volunteer hours you have completed.  It is always a good idea to occasionally pull your volunteer card to look it over and make sure it is up to date.

If you are unable to come during the hours listed above, please email or call our volunteer coordinators and they can record it for you. Their contact information is listed below.

Please remember the great variety of activities that count towards this requirement. For instance; back-to -school night, parent/teacher conferences, monthly newsletter, Open House, classroom help, prepping class projects at home, attendance at PTA meetings, chaperoning field trips, assisting with class parties, visiting the public library with your child and garden work days, to name a few.

There is almost always something you can help with if you stop by room 43. Please do not hesitate to stop by! Another way to volunteer is to talk to your child's teachers. Even if you can't be in the classroom, there might be something else that you can work on at home.
