Cali Garden
The Cali Garden coordinates with Nutrition Education and the classroom curriculum to enrich children of every age with hands-on life sciences, practical language skills, teamwork and campus ownership. Children plant, harvest and prepare seasonal foods. They experience plant life cycles first-hand as they plant, play among, then harvest seeds from sunflowers along with Eve Bunting's classic Sunflower House. They observe ecosystem interdependence and insect life cycles as they raise and release butterflies, release ladybugs, and discover other beneficial insects. Family Garden Work Days are fun times to make a difference for the whole school community!
